I want gritty cause I'm not a fucking 3 year old watching this like I was back in the day. You honestly think making this movie they way PR was in the 90's is a good idea? lol fuck outta here. PR was the most cheesiest, over the top, lets teach lessons to kids about not bullying, bad acting, awful one liners, and more. I don't want that in a reboot cause that would make it fucking awful. PR OG did not age well and that shit is hard to watch cause of how bad it was.
I'm happy they are going for a gritty, serious, and different path in this movie. If they went the same path as the old one and made it just like the old days then what would be the point in making this movie? This was just a teaser as well that didn't show off the suits, zords, zordon, or alpha 5. Can't wait to see a full trailer.
No, this movie looks shitty. Oh they have super powers now! And they got em by accident! And they go to a degenerate school full of criminals and trouble makers, yet theyre still outcasts. Wow.
I get you dont think the originals aged well, but this does not capture the spirit of Power Rangers at all. Zordon HANDPICKED the rangers in the original because they were good people. It wasnt an accident.
My first thought was "oh this is Chronicle with a wannabe Power Rangers skin". And the suits look fucking awful on top of it all.
I hate how EVERYTHING needs a gritty reboot. Its ok to have fun and have some cheese. Either do a reboot right, or dont do a reboot at all.
