Just recently watched the following films for the first time if anyone wants to discuss. I wasn't really a movie person until about a year ago so some of these will surprise you because they're classics haha any way for the first time ever I just watched these recently
Killing Them Softly The Usual Suspects Saving Private Ryan Back To The Future Back To The Future Part II
I actually really enjoyed the first one but didn't care for most of the second one. Which is weird because the popular opinion on Back to the Future between anyone that has seen them has been II>>one.
Loved the first one, didn't care for the second and didn't bother with the third. Still haven't seen The Usual Suspects. I also just watched Saving Private Ryan for the first time recently.
Dude Saving Private Ryan is amazing. Enjoyed every second of that movie. And yeah my feelings on the Back To The Future trilogy are exactly the same as yours lol
I liked all of the BTTF movies. They require a healthy amount of suspension of disbelief to enjoy, but they're fun movies. Flea always cracks me up in part II as Needles.
Ive seen all of those movies. The only one I didn't like was Killing them Softly. I can't even remember what happens in it, which is usually pretty bad. Usual Suspects was the first time I remember Benicio Del Toro. Kevin Spacey made his name by doing that one right after Seven and before L.A. Confidential. Not many actors will ever get such great parts in 3 movies like that, much less in a row
Yeah I didn't care for Killing Them Softly either. I felt like they were just trying to mimic Tarantino by having a bigger focus on dialogue over action but the dialogue really wasn't strong at all and they kind of pummeled you over the head with the money/politics corruption thing and it came off super cheesy and forced. Brad Pitt still gave a really good performance though.
