Idk man I was really impressed. They did the character justice, the jokes were top notch and the writing was outstanding. It was more than just good imo
The jokes weren't top notch. The movie had a lot of good laughs through out but I never found myself doubling over in laughter. The comedy was well written but it wasn't gut busting.
I'm not trying to shit on it for it was an awesome violence filled movie with a pretty good story and pretty good jokes.
I failed to mention how awesome fandango is doe. Walked in to the place and there was a line probably 30 people deep for tickets. Walk to the left and swipe my card and a machine prints off my tickets \m/
I really enjoyed it, thought it was awesome. But not "best movie ever" awesome, idk. You also said the same about Stars Wars, and then even said yourself it has it's flaws. But still said it's "perfect" lol.
Nothing wrong if you loved the movie, i thought it was great too. I guess i just don't understand pre determined expectations.
...except a lot of the really funny jokes in this movie specifically played off of those "pre determined expectations" and the fact that both Ryan Reynolds and the character Deadpool have had poor showing in the past. Understanding the history of the character and "the hype" is almost a requirement for watching tbh.
Are you fucking kidding me? I never said Star Wars was perfect lol you're proven wrong in the first post of the Force Awakens thread. I said it was solid and yes it has flaws. That's why I never said it was perfect however, Deadpool was pretty Damn perfect. Walking out of Star Wars I could easily call to mind a bunch of things that could have made it better. Walking out of Deadpool, I literally couldn't think of a single thing that I wanted changed in the movie or something that could have been better .
