"Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been suspended 4 to 6 games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, sources tell ESPN.

On Monday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said the quarterback violated the NFL's personal-conduct policy with his "pattern of behavior" and "bad judgments."

Roethlisberger was accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old college student in a Georgia nightclub last month, although he will not face criminal charges. Roethlisberger does face disciplinary action by the NFL, including a likely suspension, following the release of documents outlining tawdry behavior by the two-time Super Bowl winner."

I think it would be a lot better if they suspend Roethlisberger for the last 4-6 weeks of the season.

Now that would be a real punishment.

I think its a good suspension. Thats a good quarter/third of the season depending on what happens.

You embarrass the league or bring negative attention, you get punished. Its not like this is the first time he's done something stupid. He deserved the punishment he got.

Too much protection, and double-standards are set in place for the QB's in the NFL

I agree with the suspension too,Tank and Pacman were both suspended without a conviction.

I agree with the suspension as well. Goodell set a precedent with Pacman and Tank, therefore he had to suspend him. Not getting convicted or even charged with a crime doesn't mean he gets off free. He's brought negative publicity and embarassment to the league and the Steelers. The personal conduct policy in the NFL is pretty clear.

While I agree that it would be foolish, I would love to see it happen. I'm not exactly sure why. I despise the Steelers, and I'm not a fan of Ben..especially after this. I'm sure it would put them in an interesting place. But it would shake things up and I'd like to see him in a new uniform.
