I'm not the biggest baseball fan, so I don't know very much...but I've been lurking a convo on espn. From what I hear, the Tigers will be out of 1st in no time.
but yeah we have a tuff tuff month coming up...but they have the offense to do it...and verlander and scherzer are pitching great as is our bullpen and bonderman i feel has been solid....we need a starter and porcello to come in and tear it up
"Det isnt going anywhere. Theyre dead last in Quality Starts and dead last in IP by starters."
This guy does realize our starting pitching absolutely sucked to start the year, right? In the last month we have had Verlander, Scherzer, Bonderman, and even Galarraga contribute quality pitching. That stat is misleading. Our pitching is fine and our bullpen will be fine. Losing Zumaya has been blown out of proportion. It hurts, but it's not like we don't have other guys who can throw almost as hard.
Right now, the Tigers have the best pitching in the division, and I'm not afraid to say that, especially after the White Sox just lost Peavy. The Twins have Liriano and who else? Maybe Carl Pavano. The reason the Twins need to make a deal more than us is because they know we have the better rotation.
The Detroit Tigers' near-perfect pitcher Armando Galarraga is heading back to Toledo.
Galarraga will make one start for the Mud Hens, which is expected to be in Scranton on July 15, before heading back up to Detroit on July 20. Since his near-perfect game, the slumping pitcher has had a 6.0 ERA and struck out only seven batters in five games.
To make room for Galarraga, the Mud Hens have sent relief pitcher Robbie Weinhart up to the Tigers for his first stint in the majors

A win is a win is a win. We're in first place.

Not gonna win a div with that. No way. Esp since they lost zumaya. I'm not worried about them in the slightest.
they're 1-3 vs the white sox and 3-6 vs the twins and havent won or tied a series vs a winning team since May 15.
this is who they have coming up: twins, cle, tex, tor,(4) rays(4), bos, wsox, laa, rays, wsox, NYY(4)
