if the tigers win the division i hope we play the yankees in the first round......our pitching is heating up....and we commonly beat up on CC....and we have a good lineup....i think we would take them out just like in 06....if it weren't for bad up calls, if brandon inge would have gotten the HBP call to bring in a run in the playoff game with the twins last year i think we would have beatin the yanks.....we had a much better pitching staff than MIN last year
Once again, what are the Yankees doing wrong? They have money, so they spend it. Their making business decisions. I don't get why that's so hard for people to understand. If your respective teams had the finances the Yankees have, they'd be doing the same exact shit. It's such a simple concept. i've explained the story already. They came down to play multiple exhibition games in NOLA with the Twins back '96 in the Superdome. From there, I continued to support the team. It's as simple as that. If we had a team down here, then I would without a doubt give my loyalty completely to the local team. The Yankees would take a back seat.
Another reason people hate them is you have small market teams like the reds. Say they wanted a player like cliff lee the reds have all kind of talent to offer in a trade but do not have the spending money of the Yankees. So all the Yankees do is step in and say we will pay you 1 billion dollars and then fucks over any small market team hoping to acquire the player.

I also blame the players though. Me personally I would never play with the yankees and request a no trade to them or Boston. I would rather play for a team I actually like and be happy with being paid less. I have an uncle that passed away a couple years back that got offered a contract with the reds he declined saying it would take the fun out of the game for him.

Lowe will miss the rest of the season because of his surgery, so his inclusion in the trade is unknown. Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports confirmed that the Rangers are acquiring Lee and said the Mariners are sending cash too. Buster Olney of ESPN reports that the Mariners are sending $2.5MM to the Rangers. The Mariners will also acquire two pitchers and a position player and Justin Smoak, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. Previous talks with Yankees broke down because Mariners had concerns about David Adams’ health, so Yankees declined the Mariners’ offer.
