IMO the reds wont be getting him....the tigers are likely to make a move for a bullpen guy and steven drew/ escobar from the braves.....but i think they need starter help....i hope they arnt counting on porcello to come back and dominate...even tho hes a stud he is only 21
I firmly believe the reds will get cliff lee IF one specific thing happens. And that's if the cardinals put an offer out there for him. I wish I could find it but I was reading a couple weeks back about the teams that could get lee. They pointed out the reds have the most to gamble with right now in terms of talent they can trade.

Oo and we have two starters currently on the dl and a third pitcher on the dl that won't be back until after the all star game. All three are iffy on what thy will do when they come back so having an ace could mean a world of difference to finishing out the season and making the playoffs

Getting a player off the DL is like getting a player in a trade. The uncertainty factor is there either way. If one or two of them is out for the year, the move would make sense. Otherwise, no.
i get your point on the cardinals....the tigers know the twins have an offer on the table for lee and IMO we either cant let that happen or have to get oswalt.....we have some amazing pitching power arm prospects and a power hitting first baseman and scott sizemore to offer....we need to get a big deal done....IMO the reds would be stupid to make a move any ways...they have talent they should save and have been bad for so long and i doubt lee would re-sign
Bailey has been gone since may 23rd. No idea when he will return. Harang went down with back spasms but with the reds they seem to say they are fine and will be back soon then you see them 3 months later maybe. Solid I look for them to get rid of harang

yeah...but we have like 25 million coming off the books next year from just robinson and willis (fucking retards) so were either spending now or in the offseason.....this team is to good to lose close division races every damn year
