I used that site for maps while I was reading it on ebook. ) And I'm going to dive further into it when I wake up tomorrow. Go through the histories and shit.
It would seem that Jon is a warg, and jumped into Ghost as he got stabbed. That's too obvious for GRRM.
I am now of the opinion that Jon will end up being neither Stark nor Snow. I'm thinking Ned was hiding a baby either for or from somebody, that's why its the one odd stain on his honor. Another lost Targ baby perhaps. If he dies, it will be enough to end his watch, making someone, Sam or someone else, the 999th commander.
Im re-reading GoT to look for all the things I missed the first time around and paying attention to all the details. That theory would explain a lot. I never understood why Ned would want Jon to go to the Wall. The bastard thing didn't seem bother him, it wasn't customary for bastards to live with their fathers like Ned did, so shame doesn't make sense. It also always seemed like Jon's journey barely started. I'm not totally convinced yet he will be another Targaryen though, seems to convenient after Young Griff. Also I'm not sure enough of the timeline yet. These are a fee of the things I'm looking hidden clues on.
I wish I could reread GoT and go through it with a highlighter, but I lent out my copy. I don't think his parentage will be fully revealed till A Dream of Spring.
Jobe, I think you should pick this one up. It's almost comparable to ASOIAF. It has less characters, but more religion and just about as much political tangle. All seven books of the series are published. I read the first two back in high school and just started the first again. It's really good. Not as good as ASOIAF, but there isn't much out there that is.
The show is going to seem so slow now that I know everything that's going to happen. There is going to be so much butthurt about the rw episode lol.
It's cool to see the little differences and things you didn't notice the first time around. The fact that she mentioned having "a black haired beauty" that "died of a fever" right after talking about Robert's first Hand dying "of a fever" didn't mean as much the first time around.

It does a great job of clearing up confusing shit.

Do you think he'll die? I think it's too easy/convient of a death.
but Paolini is an egotistical twerp
Asofai ruined everything else ever.
I have about 100pgs left of King's Dragon then I'll start Prince of Dogs tomorrow. It's some good stuff. Fast read but not simple.
That face when Cersei had a black hair baby with Robert that died of a "fever" @-)
