me i wouldnt say its my cup of tea we are talking about Game of Thrones, right?
Yeah. The book series is called A Song of Ice and Fire though. Best series I've ever read. Try book one, A Game of Thrones. If not, then maybe watch the show.
im so hesitant i hate not liking books and not finishing the series maybe ill take a peek when were settled into the dorm what book were you gonna give me when we moved in? i forgot
ASOIAF is tough. Not going to lie to you about that. It's really rewarding though. The twists and deception. The myths and animals.
This and more. The staggering number of characters make it hard, bit all of the characters themselves are complex and deep. Some are good, some are cruel. Some you will love, some you will hate. Good guys don't always win, bad guys don't always die, the tension builds, and just when you think you know what's gonna happen, you read the next paragraph, sometimes only a sentence, and it all changes in an instant and you want to find the author and punch him in the face. You might throw shit or curse out loud while reading it, for real.
I've cheered when certain characters die, I've thrown the book across the room. I've talked about it inscensantly. Laughed like a madwoman. Spent sleptless nights reading. You begin to live it....wondering why it's having such an impact on your mind. And there are still two books to be published!
Exactly. That's one of the reasons you almost have to go back and start all over from the beginning. Now that I know the larger plot, all the little extra details will mean so much more. I didn't pat attention to Reek the first time through. Who saw him, who did he talk to etc, I didn't care at the time. It seems more important now lol.
