Yeah, it probably should be. I almost put that, but I figured more people have heard of Game of Thrones, and it is also the title of the book she would have to start with.
I loved the backstory on the Kingslayer and The Mad King. Jaime has really come around as a character, if only he wasn't a sister fucker he would be a likeable guy.
I think this series has ruined everything else for me... I was watching a show the other day where a main character was hurt and fighting for his life, and it was supposed to be all intense but I could only think to myself "Meh, let the fucker die, I don't even care." Then nobody died.

My friend sent me the ePub and that's the one that's 2383ps. the print is nice and big. I also have a PDF that's 916pgs. I can forward you the email. It has three of his other works in there too, The Hedge Knight, the Sworn Sworn, and The Mystery Knight.
The forums there have some cool discussions and theories on who might who really be, what they are up too and why etc. They even have it split by books so there is little risk of spoilers.
