Can someone tell me, sort of without any spoilers, what Ender's Game is about?
It takes place in the future where they have population control. 2 kids is the most anyone can have... However Earth is faced with a crisis of the extinction of earth by an advanced alien species. This family (ender's family) produces children that are genetically gifted with intelligence. Their first child how an evil streak and the military couldnt train him for fear of the power he would gain. Their second child was too compassionate and they feared she wouldnt be able to do the job. So the military asked them to have a third. A third was unheard of. The third was ender, and he was sent up to military school because of his gifted abilities to train to be the commander of their fleet against this hostile alien species.
Enders game has a younger target age group. Probably in the 10-14 year old rage. The next several books are much deeper and have more grownup themes.

Just finished reading
and just started reading
The last book was good, and I am glad I read it... but it is also starting to drag on a little. Still has a lot of good meat, so i'm not sure why I didnt like it as much as the others. :-?
Ive started rereading "Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer for the 3rd time, and I also started to read "Industry Society and its Future" by Ted Kaczynski (Unambomber). Its some weird stuff.

I can't read nonfiction more than once. Idk why.
And I'm nearly halfway through Brisingr, gonna finish reading One Second After when I'm done.

That's just a very basic summary. It's very interesting.
