Lol, fuck that. I thought about it too but unless these are super rare you will barely make your money back on ebay after seller fees. Might make Iike 150 bucks a unit.
Could not get one on Gamestop. Woulda preferred it too cause they got that trade-in deal wit the first Switch. Site been absolutely broken smh complete dumpster fire.
Believe it or not I was able to pull up to my local Gamestop and jus preorder in person. Didn’t camp or anything and actually pulled up late and still got one of the last 2 or 3. Prolly gonna cancel my Best Buy one now cause Gamestop has the trade in deal.
Listed one on eBay cause they allow presales. If it sells then I’ll jus keep both. Would end up getting the 2 for maybe $100 or so cause I would have $100+ from that towards it, plus the Switch 1, and also selling my Quest 2 and PSVR1 so should have another $200+ or so from those.
Idk why you would play the original when the remake is the same game basically with better graphics/physics lol.
That said im not paying 50. I'll wait for a sale.
Y'all need to learn to appreciate old games/old graphics/original art styles.
You need to learn other people aren't beholden to your autism
No other form of media is treated like this. When a movie remake comes out, people dont act like it invalidates and replaces the original.
Play what you want, I dont care. I just wish people appreciated old games and actually tried playing them instead of throwing them away the second some shiny new version comes around and replaces it. At least in Oblivion's case the story, gameplay, and quests were kept 100% the same, though the art direction is very different.
I'm not even a big Elder Scrolls fan, so again, whatever, play what you want. I wasnt going play the remake either way. I just hate the mindset that old games arent worth playing. You're missing out
Some are the definitive versions though. Like I’m ngl I will never play OG Crash 1 again as long as I live since N. Sane exists and that one’s leagues better

There are far more remakes I have issues with than that I like. Only a small handful I would consider "definitive" or replacements.
•Diablo 2 Resurrected - censored and ruins original art direction and atmosphere •Warcraft 3 Reforged - censored and ruins pretty much every single thing from the original •Demons Souls Remake - perfect from a gameplay perspective (I did enjoy this remake), but absolutely butchers the art direction and atmosphere of the original •Halo 1 Remake - Absolutely ruins the original art direction and aesthetic (at least this can be toggle off) •Halo 2 Remake - removes Breaking Benjamin, and shoehorned in that stupid Halo 5 tie-in intro (mostly good though, admitedly) •Dead Rising Remake - censored to shit •Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes - Aren't even remotely the same games, and have completely turned people off from an entire gameplay style because of it •Age Of Empires 2 Remake - censored •All of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters - censored, feature localization issues •House Of The Dead Remake - Completely ruins the original art direction and atmosphere •Dead Space Remake - changes the story in a way that is worse •Zelda Wind Waker Remake - Ruins the original art direction •Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2 Remake - Full of awful bugs, and lack of mod support •Mega Man X Remake - inferior art direction •Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Remake - censored •Conker's Bad Furday Live And Reloaded - Censored and the updated graphics are not as appealing as the "worse" N64 graphics •Sonic Generations Remake - censored •Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 Remakes - physics problems and worse graphics for the art style •Sonic Colors Remake - inferior to the original Wii version in most ways •Tomb Raider Remakes - censored and feature gameplay issues (but at least the gameplay issues can be toggle off) •Lollipop Chainsaw Remake - is missing the licensed music which was a huge part of the game's aesthetic •Nier Remake - censored
From what I've seen of the Oblivion remake - It's censored, and messes with a lot of the art direction.
The Crash Bandicoot remakes, while mostly really good (near perfect, I agree) - I do like them a lot - have geometry issues that make certain platforming areas difficult because they rounded the edges of platforms but kept all the physics from the original games, meaning you would slip off the edge in the remakes where you wouldn't in the originals.
I'm even iffy on the Klonoa Remake - which impacts some physics in a way that changes the original, and drastically changes the art direction
I could go on.
My favorite remakes are ones that are basically 1:1 with the original games, or are 1:1 to the original games with added features. The Spyro remakes come to mind, as they dont have the geometry issues of the Crash remakes (which are nearly perfect minus that), and maintain the original art direction for the most part. But I still find the original low poly PS1 aesthetic to be incredibly appealing - especially when played on a CRT or with CRT shaders. Honestly the reason most people think old games graphics are "bad" is because they're playing these games on LED displays with no upscalers or shaders. Like yea, they look bad because you're playing them on the incorrect display.
"Definitive" remakes, to me, are like Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen/HeartGold/SoulSilver, or Kirby's Return To Dreamland Deluxe and Kirby Super Star Ultra (not Nightmare In Dreamland though, which is inferior to Adventure) or Metroid Zero Mission, or Star Fox 64 DS - which are basically enhanced ports of the original games with added features. Or like all of Night Dive's remakes (Doom, Quake, Blood, Powerslave, Star Wars Dark Forces, etc) are basically just the exact same old games fitted to function on modern hardware and resolutions.
Or even The Halo remakes (while have issues -especially the Halo 1 remake which is pure ass cancer) are preferable because you can toggle the original graphics/games back with a quick button press. Same with something like the new Croc remake. Or MediEvil, which maintains the original gameplay perfectly, maintains a similar art direction, and has the original game as an unlockable.
But I really hate the mindset that games NEED to be remade. Or that games are "outdated". Or that old graphics are bad or something. Low poly games aren't "bad graphics", it was an art style from the time. Pixel art is still widely popular, you don't hear people saying "oh God the original Mario is unplayable, those 8bit graphics are terrible".
Even something like the Ducktales Remake, which is very good, and has fantastic hand drawn graphics, and an remixed soundtrack from the original - I still prefer the original in many ways.
Good games don't NEED remakes. They are as good today as they were when they first came out. They didn't "age poorly". The graphics aren't "bad". That mindset is so stupid, newer isnt better.
I will almost always prefer enhanced ports, collections, or simple remasters to full blown remakes at this point in most cases. Or I want to see bad games remade into good games and given a second chance.
I dont get the obsession with constant remakes, or the aversion people have to playing older games.

Might cop one at some point for the kids for Christmas though. I was going to try last night and I fell asleep lmao
Sell it on marketplace. You eliminate the 7% fee and having to ship it.
You also eliminate having to deal.with bitchy consumers.
Sure they can bitch but I dont sell broken shit so they just get ignored
