That’s ultimately the move for me, but I won’t do it until PS5 games are day and date. Until then, there’s still a reason to own a PS5 unless you wanna wait a year for every exclusive.
Doom looks great Ninja Gaiden 4 is gonna be insane Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster out now and looks great Assassins Creed looks decent Phantom Blade gonna be great too
Idk how, but I'm not feeling Doom Dark Ages. It looks so slow and simplistic following Eternal. Fucking emphasis on parrying? Semi-open world? Wtf? And I hate the idea of custom difficulty settings, what a balancing mess.
After watching benchmarks on the 5090 I think I’m gonna skip this gen. Performance is very minor compared to the 4090 at native. The only game I ever use frame gen on is Cyberpunk and the 4090 gets DLSS 4 as well. Just not worth shelling out $2000+ for about 20% gain.

Yea that’s why I was saying those charts looked like bullshit and I needed to see real life benchmarks. Based on those charts it made it look like it absolutely slaughtered the 4090 and made it look weak in comparison. But the reality is there isn’t a single game that exists that pushes even the 4090 anywhere near it’s limits, so how much actual improvement can you realistically see in gameplay? The only advantage a 5090 would currently offer is that it’s definitely more future proof, but I would say you won’t even start seeing that kinda shit truly implemented til like 2030.
Not everyone has 2 bands laying around to shell out on a new GPU every 3 years because companies want to force ray tracing in their games. With ray tracing + path tracing the game is running at 30fps native on a 5090. That’s insane to even say in 2025. What are we even doing anymore?

Eventually no one is going to be buying gpu's.
It's going to be unsustainable.
Eventually everything is going to be like GeForce now. You'll still need to pc, but the computing power is going to be handled through a subscription service.
Had finished BO6 campaign the other day. Clocked in at 11.5 hours but I also did all campaign achievements so that added about an additional hour at the end, and I also played on Veteran, so factor in some replay time as well. Pretty much already said all I had to say about it but yea, that shit was incredible. Best COD campaign to date and I stand on that. It really put in perspective how fucking horrible the MW campaigns were cause for instance I always play on Veteran, MW3 I had to turn it down to Hardened because they couldn’t even properly implement proper cover when AI is damn near one shot kills on Veteran and 100% accurate laser beams from anywhere on the map and constantly throw grenades that are on the money right next to you. So how the fuck are you sposed to survive when they’re literally shooting 360 from all directions and there’s not a single piece of actual effective cover? Shit was artificially impossible because of horrible design. BO6 I was right back to Veteran because while they do the same amount of damage and it’s still the “Pop out from cover for a second and shoot then repeat.” formula, it actually fucking WORKS here like it’s sposed to and was clearly actually tested.
But yea, that shit was DIFFERENT. 10/10
Finally started Astro Bot last night and got 3 hours in, couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. Game is something special and I immediately saw why it won GOTY. Can’t wait to dig into this fully. I’ll be able to marathon tonight after school cause I ain’t gotta be up early tomorrow.
Playing Ratchet & Clank (2016) for the first time. It looks gorgeous and the game play is still a lot of fun but man. They murdered my babies. Ratchet & Clank both have no personality, no chemistry and I hate their dynamic in this game. Ratchet could literally be any plucky dreamer hero character, he has no unique personality traits anymore and I feel like 95% of Clank’s dialogue so far has consisted of introducing himself and Ratchet to people. I also hate Drek’s re-design and voice, they made him another goofy ass villain that you can’t take seriously. We already have that covered by Dr. Nefarious. I don’t think I’ve ever liked the characters of Ratchet & Clank less than in this game

Assassins Creed looks decent
Phantom Blade gonna be great too
With AI we are going to see things advance a t a much faster pace. What used to take 5 years is going to take 6 months.
The 4090 has 2-3 years mabe but at that point games will be pushing it's limits. If not before.
It's going to be unsustainable.
