I can’t imagine still having the motivation, desire, and follow through to argue with MC anymore. It just never ends. No amount of paragraphs will ever be enough to change his negative opinions. There is never a payoff. Anything longer than a tweet and I’m out. I’ve probably started typing and then deleted ever more times than I’ve actually posted I think. Halfway through and then “fuck it, it ain’t worth it”
Finished Mad Max. Overall I'd say I liked it, but it would have benefitted from some fat trimming.
I liked how brutal and violent the game was. Combat was satisfying, even if pretty basic. I liked the setting.
Didnt care about the story at all until the final act, then it got really good out of nowhere. It actually provided essential background story for Fury Road and Furiosa.
Open world, like most games, was the weakest part. Long stretches of travel time that just provide padding in between doing way too many of the same side missions over and over and over and over. Would have benefitted from trimming that down. I didnt even bother with the races, I did like three, nor the stupid mine sweeper missions. I still got like 90% of the upgrades though.
Overall, liked it, didnt love it. Would say definitely play if you like Mad Max, but if not, not a must play game.
Taki Udon is releasing a FPGA PS1 clone console. Will have both HDMI and analog outputs, be able to load roms off a SD card, and will have a disc drive attachment to play PS1 discs

AMD’s new cards being weaker than the 7900 XTX is weird. Guess they truly are bowing out of the high end race like they said. NVIDIA’s bout to be a monopoly unless Intel decides to sneak in and go apeshit all of a sudden lmao.
I think Im going to invest in some Everdrives. I still really enjoy playing on original hardware vs emulation, and like retro gaming on my CRT. But it's getting stupid expensive to collect, and the ability to play romhacks and fan patches of games on original hardware vs purely emulation sounds really appealing to me.
Will still need to emulate for like PS1 and PS2. But NES, SNES, GB, and GBA Everdrives would be sweet.
Just get the xstation for PlayStation. PS2 there’s a usb memory card you can grab for like 20 bucks.
I'm probably going to get Taki Udon's FPGA PS1 which looks it will be able to play both roms and discs, and will have both HDMI and analog outputs, so its ideal all around for PS1.
For PS2, I thought about getting a OPL HDD or MCPSIO memory card to boot games off a SD card or hard drive, but they seem to still have heavy compatibility issues. Like they still wont even properly boot the Jak & Daxter games, so thats pretty useless for what I want.
I did just order a MemCard Pro 2 though, which will let me use SD cards to set up multiple VMCs including FreeMcBoot easily on one card, so I can at least play bootleg discs.
Finally about to finish Immortals Of Aveum today, got about 2 or so hours left on the cleanup for the Platinum. I gamed over December, but it was basically all Black Ops 6 so my campaigns took a backseat for a while.
Solid 7.5-8/10. Definitely a decent ass game and while a lot of the criticisms from reviews are true (Identity crisis, generic at times, cringe dialogue, etc.) it still does enough of it’s own thing that I enjoyed it, and the mechanics are rock solid. Wouldn’t mind a sequel. And multiplayer would be fun as fuck on this type of shooter if they added it.
Black Ops 6 campaign next real quick and then Astro Bot finally.
Switch 2 officially announced and I really don’t care. Nintendo fanboys will eat it up but they’ve been stale for years. I just hope I can make some bread off of it.
Switch 2 is a Day One buy for me. I love my Switch, it's my most played console by a lot. My biggest collection of games by a lot. Nintendo is love, Nintendo is life
They aren't going to make it powerful enough because they are concerned with making it cheap.
I'll just play their games on PC.
It’s apparently about as strong as a Series S. So at the very least it will at least look more modern, but yea it’s not gonna be anything impressive. Prolly still won’t pull 60 FPS smh but then again who knows, Nintendo is great at optimizing for their hardware.

resisting it now lol
