5090 officially $1,999. Comes out sometime this month. Can’t wait.
They’re claiming the 5070 has the same performance as a 4090, for only $549. I find that very hard to believe. Definitely gonna be watching benchmarks when it drops.
I’m gonna have to see real world shootouts when it actually drops, blowing the 4090 out this badly seems inflated like a mf. Like bruh wit DLSS the 4090 already hits 200+ on a lotta games, how would this even be practical? Unless you’re essentially guaranteeing a locked 240. And even then, why? 4K monitors don’t even currently come in anything higher than 240Hz. You really wouldn’t notice this to the blind eye.
I’m not opposed to potentially getting one, but I would either sell my 7900 XTX and move the 4090 to that build, or potentially even sell the 4090 and simply swap that out, which money wise would make more sense cause I could easily still get over a rack for the 4090 and only have to drop $700-$800 for a 5090. Either way it would be a while cause only the black founder’s edition will be available for now and I would need to wait til the alternate branded ones start dropping so I could get another white one to fit my build. Like my 4090 is the white ASUS one.
Is only the founders edition dropping on the 30th? Prob gonna wait if so and just flip founders editions to pay for the ASUS version so I can still keep my 4090.

Still will have less vram so if you like RT + 4K you’re gonna run into problems.
I like Nvidia. But their cost is extreme for the small performance increase. RT does looks like shit. DLSS adds so much input lag, its not worth the additional artifical frames you're getting. AI upscaling looks blurry and shitty. 99.9% of people cannot tell a difference playing with Reflex on vs off. The 5090 adds a whopping 7 fps compared to the 4090 for $500 more

It’s like you’re so dedicated to being a bitter ass hater that you’re fine looking completely wrong and stupid in the process. I have never dealt wit any input lag whatsoever and matter fact it’s said that if you leave DLSS on and the framerate surpasses your monitor’s refresh rate (For instance I usually play on my LG CX which is 120Hz, but regularly get 200+FPS) the benefit is that while you won’t see those frames visually, meaning it jus looks like a locked 120, it IMPROVES input latency. If input lag is a problem, it’s definitely only on their lower end cards, and again, you get what you pay for. And full ultra 4K + RT running seamlessly on a 4090 looks absolutely fucking gorgeous, I literally have no clue what the fuck you talking about.
These are top of the line best in their class luxury items. If they’re not in your budget that’s fine, but don’t cry that a Lambo is a Lambo and try to downplay it’s performance.
Nah, ray tracing make everything look wet and like there's puddles everywhere. DLSS objectively has input lag, thats why Nvidia themselves developed Reflex, but like, just play with DLSS off and you're more than golden. Its a gimmick to make dumb people from thousands of dollars.
AI upscaling also just looks like trash. It's blurry, skips frames, and just makes things look stilted.
All this shit does is provides game devs with a crutch to not optimize games properly, and we get a net negative or worse looking, worse performing games, with insanely priced hardware.
Like, yea if you're playing at 120fps regularly, and DLSS bumps you to a fake 200fps, it's not going to feel that different, and there'd also be no fucking point for it anyways. 120fps is beyond playable. But if the game is only running at 30fps, or 20fps, or even less, but DLSS makes it seem like you're running at even 60fps, you're going to experience bad input lag because you're still actually just playing a game at a low framerate, despite the fake frames making it seem like you arent.

Its completely useless
Okay and again, this would only ever be a problem on their lower end cards. 20-30 FPS? Bruh I don’t ever even dip below triple digits. 💀 These issues don’t exist on their premium cards.
I mean I don’t give a shit what he does, I’m not tryna convince him otherwise, I’m jus saying his criticisms literally don’t apply to the high end cards he’s shit talking. From experience. Been on the 4090 over a year now and have not run into this shit ONCE over hundreds of hours of play. There’s some truth to what he’s saying, but only when it comes to the lower end cards because they literally lack the firepower to keep up as well. So applying it to the 4090 and 5090 is literally factually incorrect.
