I dont really care about multiday sweaty guy metal fests that much. But Devin hasnt toured in like 5 or 6 years. Last time I had tickets for him, he cancelled because of Covid, and never came back. He's put out like 4 or 5 albums since his last tour. Im thirsty to see him play again
MMF is awesome, went last year and this year and loved it. Compared to those lineups it's not as good so far but that's only about 1/3 of the full lineup.
It is a lot of fun and very well run imo. It's at the Rave which is a multi floor building and takes place on 3 floors. Basement floor is the merch village and stage for meet and greets; second floor is the main bar, the third stage in the room across the way, and the second stage in the main room between them. From there you can go outside to the patio area which has a bunch of food trucks and tables to sit at and hang out. Then upstairs from there is the ballroom which is the main stage. They also allow re-entry until 5 or 6 I believe.

Had tickets for his Empath Tour, which he was back to a full band and playing SYL songs on, and it cancelled because Covid. Hasnt been back since. He's released like 5 albums since, and just never tours anymore. He's playing Milwaukee, which isnt far, but its part of Saturday's Milwaukee Metal Fest, so he wouldnt even be doing his full show. And to top it off, MMF is the same weekend as Acen anyways, so I wouldnt be able to go regardless. Maybe he'll come back in another 5 or 6 years
Would be an S tier lineup with a band other than Lacuna Coil and pre-implosion Machine Head. Will be going and raging nonetheless, haven't had a Saturday House of Blues show in too long
also greatly considering taking the monday off the day after the Devin boston show to go to the show solo, but I have no way of assuring that he'll play Ruby Quaker live
I've seen MH probably like ten times at least and they usually rock, but the last time I saw them at the intersection either it wasn't mixed right or they just sucked.
Haven't seen them since but I'd peep.
Concerts are way over priced these days though that's probably gonna be like 80 for a ticket.

I should do that one of these years because I've heard a lot.of great things about MMF
