Also new BDM without Trevor isn’t very good live. The new albums okay but I seent em last October first time without Trevor and I wasn’t really feelin it.
Thursday looks really good. Every other day has a handful of bands I’d wanna see but too spread out to make me buy a day pass for any other day other than Thursday.
How tf did Lorna Shore get so big? They played a small arena here last year and I went for whitechapel but I was shocked at the amount of people who came to see Lorna Shore. Never understood the hype. They got a couple good songs but I hate how everything has to be epic with a lot of orchestral shit. Just write a heavy ass song without all the extra bullshit.
Yea they have like a million monthly listeners on Spotify which for Deathcore is unheard of. Shocked me too, I never thought any kind of Extreme Metal could break into the mainstream like that. A lot of it has to do wit Will Ramos and bitches being thirsty for him lmao, the power of a frontman. The orchestral shit is fine wit me but my problem wit them is there’s simply too much going on on a lot of their songs, it becomes a kind of “wall of sound” and loses structure, and that’s even while listening on top of the line equipment and being able to differentiate all the different sources. It’s quite literally over produced. They have a lot of dope catchy synth lines where I feel it would greatly benefit the record if it were a bit more stripped down and gave those more of a focus and spotlight.
Summarizes my problem with Lorna Shore too. Their set opening for Mastodon/Gojira was good though
Usually I'm not into these kinds of festivals. The lineups are usually pretty meh to me, I don't like to travel, and I don't like to spend money... But, like I said there are literally like 40 bands I'd actually like to go see. Averaging 10 bands a day, the price isn't the worst thing ever. As long as my girlfriend can get a new job, and we get a grasp of our finances again, I'm honestly considering going.
I want to see -Thursday: Slayer Lamb Of God Down Cavalera Carcass Municipal Waste Rob Zombie Marylin Manson Cannibal Corpse Exodus Fear Factory
-Friday: Breaking Benjamin Static-X Dope Nonpoint Dragonforce Alestorm Demon Hunter Gloryhammer Miss May I Walls Of Jericho
-Saturday: Acid Bath Trivium Machine Head Chimaira August Burns Red Devildriver Kittie Stabbing Westward Spineshank Snot
-Sunday: Evanescence Three Days Grace Flyleaf Crossfade 10 Years Bruce Dickinson Testament Queensryche Wargasm
And I wouldn't mind seeing Violent Vira, Stone Temple Pilots, Tech Nine, Cypress Hill, and Insane Clown Posse too, even though I don't listen to much of them.
I hope Friday they’re smart and even tho Sleep Token and A7X are headliners of their respective stages, one plays after the other, because that’s gonna easily be the biggest scheduling conflict of the entire weekend if they’re at the same time. Sleep Token is my favorite band and one of the main reasons I’m going so not missing them, but same time A7X was a longtime favorite when I was younger and I never got the chance to see them live, so I definitely wanna see them too.

I saw a comment saying that they lump the stages in twos.

Fucking perfect. Meaning it’s most likely Sleep Token and then A7X to close the night. That alone is an insane 1-2 punch. Then Bad Omens into Deftones on Saturday. 😮💨😮💨
I’m already tryna figure out who touring with who looking at that big ass festival lineup. Something like:
Slayer/Lamb of God/Municipal Waste Rob Zombie/Manson Cannibal Corpse/BDM Lorna Shore/Winds of Plague/Sanguisugabogg PeelingFlesh/Mugshot/Snuffed on Sight

Im just saying at this age and stage of life something like a 4 day festival just isn't super appealing.
Im not saying it's a rip off. That's a ton of bands. Just for me, I'd rather spend that kind of money on a vacation doing something else.
