i was also told the delay was due to a unnamed band having problems with their vocalist. This must be either Killswitch Engage or Dragonforce because of the well known problems they are having. It will be a tour starting in mid to late July & ending in early September. Thought I would pass this along."
I have to agree with Shane and Jobe. I would like to know what my options are for bigger summer tours before I start spending the money I have set aside for the summer. Dates, venues, prices, lineups, etc. would all be nice to know in advance.
Unless Ozzfest gets some big name like Metallica or their entire lineup is flawless it is gonna flop this year. Mainstream and underground fans alike have plenty of tours to choose from this summer
Imo, Ozzfest has waited a little too long. There's been enough summer tours confirmed and I do know a lot of people are going to be buying tickets for those tours instead. The way everything is now, you have to pick and choose to save money for bills and other important things. People need to know when to take off work and the sooner you ask, sometimes it gives you a better chance of getting that day off. There's a few people around here that were excited for Ozzfest but are now not going because they're going to Mayhem, Maiden, Carnage, Warped or w/e. They figured since there has basically been no Ozzfest the last 2 years, there's not really any loss. In order for Ozzfest to possibly prevail they're going to have to pull something out of their ass to make it work and catch people's attention.
