    Bro I don’t understand that shit at all lmao. Weeknd’s weakest album ever but it’s the only one MU is rockin wit. Meanwhile he’s been my favorite artist for 11 years strong now and I thought that shit was painfully average.

    I gave it like 3-4 more full spins too and admittedly, the first 8 songs is a stronger run than I initially gave it credit for, but it’s still not even close to his peak, and the latter 8 songs are a straight snoozefest that can’t be saved. By Weeknd standards, only half a good album is unacceptable smh.

    I dont consistently listen to his records or anything but my brother loves him so I've heard alot of his shit and for the most part I've liked everything I've heard over the past few years.

    I mean I'm not a huge fan like you but I've listened to all of his albums on release since Beauty Behind The Madness. I listen to a ton of hip hop I just don't really talk about it on here cuz MU

    Yo if all of Dawn FM was as fire as Sacrifice is, that shit would be in his top 3. Got damn what a fucking HIT. The remix on the deluxe is even better but regardless that’s a grand fucking slam. Too bad the rest of the album falls asleep at the wheel.

    Dawn FM really grew on me hard I can’t lie lmao. It’s been getting played front to back on a daily basis at this point. I still do feel that it’s his weakest on account of how long it took to click wit me, which is a first from any of his albums, but naw it’s solid as fuck regardless and I’m now hype to hear the new songs on the tour as well. Gasoline > How Do I Make You Love Me? > Take My Breath > Sacrifice is such a strong fucking 4 song run and the extended album cut of Take My Breath is a masterpiece. I didn’t originally like the radio cut that much but the album cut completely transforms that song. I do still think there was too much “radio” stuff on it that fucks up the consecutive listens. It doesn’t really work other than the first listen so I always skip those. There’s even a playlist on Spotify called “Dawn Without FM” that’s strictly the songs on the album lmao.

    Side note, this has also showed me how badly I needed to switch over to Spotify from Apple Music. The main reason I was tired of Apple Music was that they added that stupid ass Dolby Atmos shit to everything, which isn’t optional. You can’t turn it off. And basically, it sounds good on headphones or good monitors, but if you’re listening simply on your phone speakers, it jus sounds drowned in long reverb and it completely sucks the life out of the mix. That’s also on me for not listening thru a better source, but a lot of the time, I only have time to jus play shit thru my phone speakers on the go, so this was a huge problem for me. So Dawn FM sounded dead to me but a lot of that had to do wit that Dolby Atmos bullshit. Now that I’m on Spotify hearing the original mixes as intended, it hits so much better.
