Too garbage to list: Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
To me, it was garbage solely off the fact that it had absolutely ZERO replay value. It wasn’t necessarily “bad” music, but for someone of that caliber, that has that high of expectations of them, to drop an absolute dud that’s more boring than watching paint dry, that’s a failure of an album imo. And I get it, not everything has to be catchy and lighthearted, but that shit was 100% a self therapy session that he made solely for himself and nobody else. And that’s cool, but don’t expect nobody to be putting it on repeat like that lmao. There was shit on there that barely even qualified as actual music, since it was primarily Spoken Word, and then on top of that, no normal sane person is gonna listen to something like We Cry Together on a regular basis. Shit is uncomfortable to listen to even the first time, let alone repeatedly. Shit like that is more of a pretentious art piece than an actual record. And even shit like Mr. Morale, (The song.) which legitimately has one of the best beats I heard all year, he destroys the replayability of it by rapping about his Aunt getting molested. Again, no normal, sane person is gonna wanna bump that on a regular basis lmao.
