I will never understand the late 2010s/2020s American creators desire to make 1. Animation styles uglier and uglier, 2. Make female character designs uglier and uglier, 3. Reboot existing IPs with the sole intention of pissing off and diving existing fanbases.
I’m mixed about that. On one hand it’s kinda like, why even do it anymore, jus call it a day if it won’t have Ash, but on the other, the anime is based off the games and not vice versa like a lot of people think, and the games constantly switched main characters each generation, so it is what it is. Plus the focus was always the Pokémon and how the world around them interacted wit them, so you can still do that even if Ash is gone. But I mean they never even aged Ash by now which they should have lol. Would have been cool to at least see him as like an 18 year old by now as a master trainer and then they write him off because there’s nothing left for him to achieve, but he stayed eternally 10 not learning shit lmao. End of an era tho for sure, RIP to a real one. 💯💯
