Doom is the perfect example. You claim it’s your favorite game yet your biggest video ever was about what a broken piece of shit it was.
Prove me wrong.
The game released perfect. An update was broken. They fixed it the very next patch.
Im friends with the director of the game on facebook. He's seen my videos and has told me that the entire team watches fan videos to identify bugs, see what the community likes and dislikes, and see what strategies players are using. He shouts out Doom Youtubers during his livestreams. He's very invested in the community, and if we overwhelmingly were like "hey this sucks", Id Software would fix it.
Example: Doom 2016 was very monochrome. People missed guns and got lost. So they added a bunch of color to Doom Eternal. Some people didnt like how colorful it was, so they added a patch which added render modes so people could make the game more dark and monochrome like 2016 if they wanted.
Mc should go back to being a virgin. It was more interesting to read.
Honestly, sometimes I wish I could go back and redo my younger life. I love my girlfriend, but I have so much regret from when I was younger. I wish I dated around more, hooked up more, put myself out there more. I wasted high school and college on bullshit.
And now I have a girlfriend that I don't want to break up with, but I still wish I had those experiences before it was too late.
Some good channels to watch about this sort of thing
GamingBrit - good videos on how God of War, and Ratchet and Clank (I still like Ratchet and Clank, but it definitely has had a different vibe since PS3) have changed. https://youtube.com/c/TheGamingBritShow
I watch a lot of other channels on Youtube, and channels have a video or series (like Actman discussing Halo) but isnt the primary channel focus, but these are the ones that stick out as discussing and critiquing changes in media.
on the flip, was just talking about it with a co-worker, and the IDW TMNT comic is still really good, and I think it's even better than the original Mirage comics.
I remember you talking about that back in the day. Might have to cop
it strikes that perfect balance of the Mirage seriousness and violence, with that 80s cartoon camp and humor. Does a nice job re-adapting some classic story arcs, like City Fall, while introducing a BUNCH of new stuff and characters that fit the world really well. It's now the longest running version of TMNT ever.
