Jumping on the train now that it affects you?
No. I ain’t worried for getting it. I feel this is very easily contained by following safe practices and testing people. Trump has had several press conferences now where he has said they are “testing everyone” and setting up all these “testing systems”. That was all a huge fucking lie

am I worried about getting it myself? Not in the least. I can 100% survive it. Would I like to limit the infection rate so we can get shit back on track with normal life and the economy?!? Yes! We aren’t going to get there if we are literally testing like fucking no one

What worries me the most is the economy. The stock market has already fallen a greater percentage than what it did for Great Depression. I ain’t worried about that because it will bounce back. What I am concerned about is massive massive layoffs on all sectors of the economy and many many companies going out of business. I’m worried about a 60% unemployment rate in a month or two lasting for years and years

Kinda feels like the testing is almost past the point of providing any benefit. Say you get tested and have it... how’s that any different than not getting tested? Either way there are no meds. Just need to suffer through it unless you get to the point of needing to be hospitalized on a ventilation. If they were prescribing meds to combat it then it would be a whole different story
Lmao this was 3 days ago
I meant from a medical standpoint and I still feel that way from the medical side. There is no cure or drugs they can prescribe. The only benefit that testing can provide right now is peace of mind and knowing you need to deep quarantine yourself.

    Bought my first gun today.

I’ve never been a gun guy, but with the way things are happening right now I knew it was time to have some protection.

What did you buy? Might I suggest trying to get some range time with it? Guns are a great tool but you need to have some experience with it before being put in a place where you need to use it for the sake of your life or your family’s lives

9 mm Ruger Security 9. The plan is to get to a range with it sometime soon. Because I agree I want myself and my fiancée to know how to safely operate it.

That's an...interesting response to a respiratory illness pandemic.
Agreed. However people are fucking nuts and this pandemic has shown how people react to something like this. Imagine when something else worse happens.

Holy shit! She talked the dr into getting a test!!!!! Here is whst she said

Well he wasn’t going to and said there wasn’t anything he could do for me. And then he said that everybody wants to test but they only have a couple tests they could get so they’re saving them for people that were out of the country. And I said but I was out of the country right before my symptoms started why am I not one of the people getting tested. And he seemed shocked even though I had already said it like 500 times that I was out of the country and so he said he’ll come and see what he can do. And then they came back and did a test. But he said it takes a week for the test results to come back. That’s absurd.

Yeah, it takes 1-2 weeks (depending on where you are) for results to come back. But South Korea you get your results in a few hours. You can't get tested here unless you have extreme symptoms (end up in the ICU I'm assuming), have been in a "level 3 warning zone" (out of the country probably), or had direct contact with someone who was confirmed to have it (I have no idea how they would even determine that one). It's absurd and 100% the reason there's been no confirmed cases in WV. Plus our governor is friends with Trump and he "wants to keep the numbers low," so that's another reason for this bs

If my ex tests positive then that probably ups the spread in Rochester by probably 5-10k. Yeah let’s avoid testing so “it’s not that bad”
