I like Toxicity a lot, but they completely ran out of ideas after that one
Unless you count Tool, Helmet, Faith No More, Sepultura and Rage Against the Machine, these bands are the only thing that mattered when it comes to Nu/rap metal (to me anyways). It's kinda splitting hairs comparing them because they are/were awesome, but personally I prefer Deftones
I'm not saying Toxicity isn't a great record. I'm just saying personally, I think the only 2 Deftones albums I like less than Toxicity are Saturday Night Wrist and Koi No Oken. Their other 6>> lol
Soad has equally as much shitty material as deftones...shit probably even more. Well probably equal since deftones have more albumes, but Soad have 2 good albums. The last 3 records have been shit.
Soad’s high points are better, but deftones have a larger catalog of good music.
I liked maybe 2/3rds of Steal This Album and I like a good half and half from each Mezmerize and Hypnotize. But I've rarely listened to a Deftones record that I didn't like all the way through
I wish our show got D-Tones instead of a fucking cover band called STP .-. But NIN, Primus, Chevelle, Joan Jett, Clutch, Suicidal Tendencies, The Sword, and Living Color are good enough for me. Who said Fever 333 was good?

I liked em. They were entertaining. And the new STP singer is actually pretty good and I'm not even really a fan.
