Honestly just go in with the mind set that you're not there to see a 100% accurate representation of the comics and you just want to kill a harmless couple hours.
I like movies that are more comic accurate. Raimy's movies might be cheesy, but so are the comics. There were some slight liberties, but at least I didnt have to put up with Papa Tony and "Penis Parker"
A) I’m glad they’re not plundering the origin story again. Everybody knows how Spider-Man became Spider-Man and what happened to Ben. They already explored it in both prior franchise attempts.
The Raimi movies deviated in irritating ways from the comic lore, too. It always bugged me that they went with MJ off the bat and then tried to work in Gwen later. The death of Gwen Stacy is as important to Spider-Man as Dark Phoenix is to X-Men. The fact that they’ve brought her back in the comics is a travesty. There are other examples where they deviate. The genetic spider that stings him is stupid. At least having the spider be radioactive kinda makes sense. Just having it be some mutant spider...that escaped it’s enclosure...was sloppy af
C) It would take an extra movie to play out all the weird twists and turns of Flash’s comic arc on film. I don’t think anyone is really jonesing for that much Flash Thompson. They’re best just leaving that character as a background annoyance and not focusing on him.

It's pretty much like watching a DC movie, lots of issues but fun overall.

Aunt May sucked
That trilogy is still the definitive live action Spider-Man. Webbs movies didnt come close. MCU hasnt come close.
Spider-Man 2 > Spider-Man > Spider-Man 3 > Amazing Spider-Man > Homecoming > Amazing Spider-Man 2
