Yeah I tried that with Madtodon in 2011. I did pretty well, only stumbled on the first 4 songs of the set.

Iv tried that with tool...but people always update the sets after each song during the show on tool navy so it's near impossible to not look

The reason it's so hard for me with tool is that a lot of times their sets are similar....but every time a tour starts they usually throw a song or two they haven't played in forever...so I have to look

I never, ever look at set lists prior to shows. Seems like it would take away that rush when the band plays your favorite song

I don't really see bands I don't know in concert so much these days unless they're opening for someone I like. I just don't have the time and/or disposable income for it

I used to obsessively check setlists and it took me awhile to realize it sort of detracts from the experience.
