suicide silence vocalist. died in october due to a motorcycle accident
My neices father was sitting on the side of the road on his bike when it broke down on him. He was WAY off the road. Some old lady come cruising by and hit him. He died. One of my sisters first boyfriends got hit and died. Another good friend of mine died last year "that one was his fault" he ran into the back of a car turning..he wasn't paying attention I guess. It was a eeasy decision for me to lose the street bike.
And I don't blame you for deciding to quit riding on the street. My philosophy with dangerous things in life is that I want to have fun and do exciting things but if I die because of doing something I want to do, then it's not worth it to do said activity. I am however not sticking to this rule with riding because it's just something I really want to do and I guess I'm willing to take the risk that something bad might happen. Hard to think about but it's true. A couple months ago I decided I didn't want to ride because of the risks and while I was into riding, riding isn't my life so I could live without it. It just didn't seem worth it to me to die while riding. Since then I guess my mind has changed a little and I just accept the risks of riding and pray/hope nothing bad happens

If I didn't have 3 kids and a wife then I would still ride on the street. They need me more than I need that bike.

Another good reason to stop riding. I'm sure many contemplate doing the same thing as you when having a family to support. deciding to ride isn't the easiest decision to make
Yeah... a 400-500cc bike has enough power/weight that you can take it safely on a freeway. A 200cc bike is just too light you will get pushed around at high speeds, and you dont really have the power you might need to escape bad situations you might find yourself in. A 400-500cc bike isnt crazy powerful that you will get yourself into trouble like you might a 900cc+ bike.
Also- a 400-500 cruiser is a great bike to take the DMV test on. Easy to maneuver and not too heavy.
Good post, but screw being on the freeway on a 500 lol, not enough passing power.
