What happened to the days when people kept who they voted for to themselves?
the internet was created. I've actually never considered my vote a secret. I always hope that if people hear that I am going to take a chance and vote for who I believed in, then maybe the people would follow my lead. Most of the time though people just say "Thanks for telling me. Now I am going to vote for the other candidate to cancel out your vote"
I don't give a shit anyway, but I would still have my right to complain if I did
You are more than capable of educating yourself on all the candidates (national, state, and local. Elections are much more than just the president) and making an informed decision that actually does carry weight. You choose not to however and still feel that you should have the right to complain about these elected officials that you chose to have no say in. Why is that?
Just because I'm choosing not to vote shouldn't mean my right to complain would be taken away. I am choosing to take a distanced stance, as it doesn't really matter to me at the moment who wins the election. I can still express my disliking for something that is happening (which I don't really do anyway, because who am I to complain), but I just don't feel like voting really matters.
What about those who are unhappy with those they voted in? They voted the dumb bastard in, do they still get the right to complain even if he proves to be impenitent?

Definitely. If you take part in the process, you have the right to complain. If a certain candidate doesn't live up to the standards you expected them to, then you have the ability to vote against them the next time around. They're elected to represent those that vote them in, and if they aren't doing a good job of it, you can let them know.
also anyone who doesnt say whpo they voted for when asked like their vote is some sort of important secret should be by law smacked in the balls real quick
