I meant in the sense that for 2-4 weeks or so everyone will be all about the cause, all for stopping bullying, and then after that short amount of time everyone will forget about it.
Even though she basically repeats herself over and over lol, she has some good points, ands they're mostly obvious points, it's no wonder why most kids don't think before doing something.
Why? Because she is emailing parents of insensitive little fucks? I am 99% sure my kids would never post comments like "She deserved to die" but if they did, I would appreciate knowing that they said that. If they did, I would take that as a failure on my part of raising genuine good people that are respectful and actually care for the well being of others. Anyway you want to cut it, it is a tragedy when someone kills themselves. The lives of everyone who knew and cared for that person are devastated, and will honestly never be the same. Have some compassion.
Semi-related story... Last year we found out that there was this girl in my son's class that everyone was making fun of. My son (4th grade at the time) came home and said he felt really bad for this girl because everyone was so mean to her. We told him that he should not let the fear of a crowd prevent him from being a friend to someone who needs a friend. That being that friend could change her life. So the next day he sat next to her at lunch, stood up for her when people said mean things, told her that it is wrong everyone was making fun of her (for whatever reason), and that he didnt think that about her. I should add that my son is one of the more popular kids at school. Anyways, the fall out from him being a good friend? The family showed up at our doorstep a week later to personally thank him for making a difference in her life. She said that ever since my son did that, she actually started liking school. That other kids stopped picking on her, or were picking on her less. That things were so bad that she was crying at night and wanted to move to a different school. And now because of him her life is changed- for the better.
"Amanda Todd left out a lot when she made that video like how she didn't flash her tits once she would do it multiple times, send people nude pictures and had videos of herself masturbating. She was also known to sleep around. One of her blackmailers was a family member who found out about it and was asking her to come clean to her parents. She was afraid of what her parents would do and drank bleach. It's sad someone died an bullying should be stopped but she shouldn't be praised in anyway."
I don't care what she did or didnt do. She killed herself. It is a tragedy that no one saw it coming or was able to just be a friend to her so she felt like she had other paths in life. Is Amanda's death more of a tragedy then others who commit suicide? No. They are equal, unless you personally knew the person. Suicide is always a tragedy in my personal opinion.

She ultimately did it to herself, yes it's sad but I'm not gonna feel sorry for her.

Oh... Im not sure I even feel sorry for her. What I do have is heaps of compassion and empathy for the family/friends that are devastated by her loss. And I think it is unfortunate that someone wasnt able to intervene to help her though the trials of being a teen and having these teen emotions. I'm not sure I really feel sorry for her, because like you mentioned she did it to herself and even though she might have felt there was no other alternatives... there was.
I mean it sounds like there were a few dozen things she could have done to avoid it, yes i do feel bad more for her parents, but I'm not going to feel bad for her, or really the people who run those stupid FB pages, I read some stuff on one of them a couple days ago, it's all extremely hypocritical.
