Yeah i've made it at home with a hair straightener between some baking paper. It comes out looking almost exactly like wax. Smokes really clean and tastes amazing. And gets you about as high as wax and shit.
downside is the yield is less than your normal wax or bubble hash. I've made neither, but i've seen some math done on reddit about it
I'm pretty sure the yield is better the more heat and pressure you have. I can only have so much of both with a hair straightener. How much more? I dunno

my girlfriend went to beauty school so she has all kinds of higher end straighteners. Had a hard time convincing her to let me use one to make rosin
