Most strains aren't really one or the other anymore, they are hybrid blends. It's pretty rare to be rockin a strain that is pure one or the other anymore. The trick is to find the one perfect blend. They say SLH is 80% sativa, but not every SLH is the same phenotype. You gotta get the right one. Who can say if that one in thousand SLH cut is still 80% sativa. Those first 3 gorilla glues were not the same as the fourth etc.

Dry out the top couple of inches of soil more (where they hatch) by bottom feeding or adding a layer of gnat nix. Use natural predators like nematodes and ladybugs if need be.
Lots of ways to cut them down without going nuclear.
