Depends. I hated the Greyjoys through most of the series, but then they get more...understandable. They're a seafaring house focused on pillaging. Asha Greyjoy (Yorba in the show) is badass.
i still have yet to sit through a full episode of the walking dead. i was watching one of the episodes once but there was way too much talking and not enough zombie killing.

watch it from the beginning. There is actual character development, and not just zombie killing.
It took me a couple of attempts to get into game of thrones. Then when I finally sat down and watch the first 3 episodes in a row I could see myself getting into it. Then when I finished the first season I was hooked.
As far as the walking dead I love that show. Watching the show got me into the comics and I'm not a big comic book guy.
Death is not the worst of evils.
