Woah dude. Im anything but ignorant and hateful. I've said it before i dont hate gays. In never rude to them nor once did i say here anything negative about them other than they cant create a child through sex, which is a fact.
All i say is that i dont agree with their lifestyle. They're free to do w/e they want though. If that makes me ignorant, rude, and hateful then that makes most of you rude, ignorant, and hateful for not agreeing with somebody elses point of view.
In fact i dont even say all gays are dammed to Hell like you think most christians feel. Most Christians actually think murders, rapists, gays, and whoever else can all be accepted into heaven. No sin is worse than any other, and all man is sinful. If a gay couldnt get into heaven, then neither could I.
Yes but you have a choice to act on those urges. And It's a sin to have sex when you aren't trying to have kids, which gays can not do. That's What makes them sinful.
Christianity isnt about rules, and regulations, and punishment. Yes, there is a part in there regarsing things we should and shouldnt do, but overall its not about that.
Its about giving people hope, and a guidline for living better, more constructive lives. If a person doesnt follow it exactly does that mean they're damned? No. If it was then I WOULD BE GOING TO HELL. The only "rules" people must follow to get into heaven, are the golden rule and accepting Christ as a lord and savior and asking for forgiveness from Him.
The rest are just guidlines. But no sin is better or worse. Gay sex is just as bad as swearing which is just as bad as murder which is just as bad as disrespecting a parent which is just as bad as cheating on your spouse which is just as bad as being a drunk or stoner which is just as bad as premarital sex which is just as bad as porn which is just as bad as...
Most people say Christians are hypocritical and jugemental. The opposite is actually true. If you actually experienced a Christian community for a period of time (and not just payef attention to how the liberal media a portrays us, or how crazy right wing extremists act) you'll find we're very down to earth people. We recognize that we're ALL sinners and need to rely on God to be saved. The difference between a believer and an non believer is a believer owns up to their sins and faults. Prays for forgivness and honestly tries to change their lives. They dont brush it off as its nothing, we feel guilty.
Also, when people say "oh i'll pray for you". Dont take it as an insult. Its a compliment. It means that we're thinking about you, and want you to excell and be happy in life. We pray about everything. Our struggles, our friends and family, sickness, for forgiveness, in thanks... you name it.
Tl;dr version: all sin is bad, not one over another, "i'll pray for you" shouldnt be insulting, ALL people can go to Heaven if they believe in Christ and try to live the best they can, most Christians are not crazy hypocritical extremists, the religion is not about discipline, its about hope.

no if you actually read the new testament having sex is not a sin, bible thumpers just like to twist vague phrasing around...yes jesus did teach about marriage and the coming together of a man and woman through marriage but he never said that sex was a sin...
