I don't understand why people think that this country was founded on Christianity. Pretty much all the founding fathers were Deists who openly admitted that religion was used to control people. They believed that religion was for people who are too stupid to figure out that you shouldn't do bad things because they are bad. But most people need a reward or a purpose for their good deeds, like brownie points from god.

I think people who argue that shit are just very insecure with their own faith. Hell, I have a friend who is Catholic, but even he knows that this country wasn't founded on Christianity. He is very secure with his faith and thinks religion has no place in the government. Why can't more people be like this?

Jesus' birthday is even argued by so many people (including many Christians) that have said he was born in like, April, March, September, etc. and it's based on descriptions from the Bible.

I would ask them why it matters so much that Jesus was born on the 25th and if it has any effect on the morals and values the Bible teaches.
