Yo Wake, never gave an update. Thanks for the help, but I actually figured out how to make the boot drive the night before, but couldn't get it to work, it would get to the screen with the Fedora F logo, and then not go any further. However, I got my computer to run in safe mode after that, and I got an external hard drive today, and was able to transfer all my Music, Photos, Videos, and unfinished beats, so I'm safe.

yeah... sometimes linux gets hung up on specific computer hardware and hang like that. I told you about fedora because in my experience it has the highest compatibility. sorry it didnt work for you, but happy to here you got your data \m/
