I dont recall it asking for "persistent Storage" but if it did just pick the USB flash drive for everything. Basically all you should have to do is pick which Fedora you want (Fedora 10 i686 is fine) or whatever they list in the defaults. Set "persistent Storage" to like 128 MB (doesnt matter too much) and then make sure your target device is set to your USB flash drive.

when I said external disk, I meant external harddrive.... something like the picture I posted above... that is what you will use to copy the shit off your old HD

when you have made your USB boot flash disk with the above program... then go to your broken computer, plug it in.... turn it on... and when you first start seeing stuff on the screen (like the first pictures), start hitting F8. You want to go to the boot device selection window so you can pick the USB flash drive to boot.
The only gotcha... is F8 isnt standard. some motherboards use a different key. you can also hit Del button to read the boot info and it will probably tell you in there. basically your computer will probably not boot from the flash disk by default so you need to make it do that.

Once you boot linux (fedora in your case), then it will open to a OS that looks a lot like windows. it should be pretty straight forward.... your computer harddrive should be "mounted" on the desktop so you should be able to double click on it and find all the shit you want to keep. when you plug in your external harddrive it also should open on your desktop and you can transfer shit to there by drag and dropping.
Yo Wake, never gave an update. Thanks for the help, but I actually figured out how to make the boot drive the night before, but couldn't get it to work, it would get to the screen with the Fedora F logo, and then not go any further. However, I got my computer to run in safe mode after that, and I got an external hard drive today, and was able to transfer all my Music, Photos, Videos, and unfinished beats, so I'm safe.
