Also, I guess it also depends on the place and priority in their eyes. The autopsy for my ex's 8 year old nephew took I want to say 2-3 months for the results

My dads autopsy took a little over a week. Mostly cause they wanted to rule out suicide, and make sure it was accidental.. sigghh.

Meh, it takes less than 5 minutes to open the lungs and see if burned fumes are present. Clean lungs - killed in car crash, black lungs - died in fire. Either way, dead is dead.
