I went to church this last weekend. It was pretty damn awful. I think it might have been the first church service where I actually thought "How can these people believe this bullshit?". Some things in Christianity are believable and nice, but some topics (like the one I sat through) are just so off the wall straight jacket crazy.

here's a summary of what I sat through. So Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the forbidden tree and they are sinners. And God said that they must DIE because they are not holy. But all through the OT, GOd said you can put your hand on this lamb, and say this lamb dies for your crimes. Like WHAT THE FUCK? How does anyone buy that bullshit?
So if I go steal a candybar, then I am wrong... but if I grab my knife and slit my dogs throat, then I am in the clear for stealing the candybar? Huh?
And then they jump forward to the NT, and Jesus dying on the cross is supposed to represent the OT sacrifices? Like we dont need to slaughter sheep anymore, because jesus is going to be our sheep to be slaughtered for all eternity? I literally couldnt believe people were okay with this bullshit.
Lets say Jesus was actually god. Wouldnt it make more sense that Jesus just loved us so much that he was willing to die so that we know how real he was about his love? Isnt that a better story to what went down?
