Laurjohn - Do you think this blowup (Erik's ban, Erik's unban, Bitching upon Bitching, and Tim taking his ball and going home) could have been avoided by just sending Erik a Personal Message telling him that you thought his negative comments were causing the board to move in a direction you didnt want it to? Do you think a little PM asking him to tone it down might have worked? Just curious.

yeah... hindsight is always 20/20.
Before I left yesterday, I had no clue that Tim would have bugged out like that. And I guess I can see how trying to make a general comment about rules without singling anyone out might have seemed like a good course of action. Who knows... maybe sending a couple of PM's might have resulted in the same blow up....
The whole thing is really just a major bummer. I dont really feel like anything was gained by any of this. Actually I feel a whole lot was lost. quite the major bummer.

I mean really everyone just went derp. people need a few days break? Cool... but really we are all buds, and no reason to just flush it all down the toilet. I kinda think if someone who knows those that left went and just said "dude. please come back. don't take that shit too personal. everyone just went derp and it's not you or anyones fault."
