I know Ringo isn't the best singer ever, but in no way whatsoever is Cocker better than him in any way imaginable, I'm not to hard on that retard, the fact that he has recorded music existing is only due to the fact that he played Woodstock and was laughed at for the way he moves on stage. The guy wishes he was a comedy act but isn't, he is a spastic hippie retard who can't sing for shit.
i like his voice...hes nothing special but i dont think he was as detrimental to the hippie movement as you portray. i used to pretty much only listen to hippie music and all my friends were pretty much hippies and no one had a problem with him....they didnt really think he was amazing either...if u watch his preformance at woodstock he really was pretty good imo

The only reason his performance at Woodstock should ever be considered good is because he flails around like a spastic fuck. His voice is something especially fucked up, if he hadn't ruined She Came In Through The Bathroom Window he would just be another dumbass with a horrible voice, but since he did his shitty covers people claim he was inspirational. I could get on stage and do what he did right now, anyone could, he isn't an artist, he is a mockery to anyone who worked hard to write a song and learn an instrument.
you just dont like his vocal style becuase you are a vocalist...... his vocal style is wayy more experimental than the beatles, he just put a different vibe to the songs (that i thought worked pretty well) that you didnt appreciate. she came in throught the bathroom window and little help from my friends are decent... i do admit he relied to much on other peoples work but i dont think of him as this great artist anyways... its just like jimi was experimental on the guitar, cocker was experimental on the vox..now a traditional guitarist might think that hendrix sounds like noise...its all in the way u look at it i guess

He was not fucking experimental, there is no reason to believe that, do we see spastic retards with raspy voices today? No, he didn't put any fucking vibes into those songs, he shit all over them. There are people with horrible fucking voices who at least made it sound good, Jimi Hendrix had an experimental voice, so does Geddy Lee, I would even say Dave Mustaine did, but that is a stretch. And I don't only admire great singers, Jim Morrison was a horrible singer, his voice just sounded good, but if you looked at the amount of notes he could hit, he was more limited than just about anyone in history. There are ways to make horrible singers/voices sound good, he didn't know how to do it because he lacked in brain activity.

well i just disagree, im not going to go ahead and say hes a great singer but i enjoy the way he does songs sometimes he really needs to get off the beatles balls tho. you have to understand the hippie mindset at the time, whether u want to believe it or not that vocal style is experimental, just like joplins was just like jimi guitar was...it was all part of the culture and drugs and people and movement of the time...people were experimenting with music drugs sex everything...now heres a great woodstock video
