Shirts as I pictured them earlier would be pretty expensive. The low run-size (number of prints) and the fact that its 4 color process on both sides means that just the printing would be in the $25 / shirt range, plus shirt costs on top of that. Additionally, the fact that it is printed on black means they have to do a special layer behind the image for some reason. Called a "flash" or something. I personally wouldn't mind the $30-$35 pricetag but I know you guys are more interested in something around $20 / shirt, final price.
So to reduce the cost I have several options.
1) Convert to single sided - Combine the text logo and the picture but on the same side of the shirt (either front or back).
2) Simplify - Reduce the complexity of the image by perhaps forgetting about the picture all-together and just having the text logo, maybe larger, on the front or back.
3) Change shirt color - If we had it printed on a white or light grey shirt, it would be cheaper. This is my least favorite option because it would gay as fuck.
The printer is going to call me back today or tomorrow with prices on all of these options, so I wanted to get your general feelings about which method(s) would be preferred.
