nice, my dog just turned 2 too, i rsqued her from the dog pound when she was like 5 months old, i think she was in an abusive home or something before cause she gets rattled by loud noises and flinches alot, like if i'm tossing a snack over to my girl she'll jump and when i take my belt off she hides. it makes me feel really bad, but she's safe now and i take her out for long walks and play with her all the time now. i treat her like shes a human being, lol. you seen this pics of her on my FB laid up in the bed and couch, lolz. i'm glad i adopted her, she makes me happy all the time.
Awww, poor thing. That's good you rescued her and gave her a loving home and everything. It kills me to see animals sit in shelters forever. haha I saw those, made me laugh.
I found her on petfinder.com. My mom finally convinced her boyfriend to let her get a cat, so I looked on that site and showed my mom Piper and she thought she was adorable. We called the woman who had her and went to her house to see Piper and everything. She said that like five people called about adopting her, but we were the only ones that actually came in person, so she really liked us because of that, haha. The woman ran an animal rescue shelter I guess you could call it out of her house, so there was cats and dogs everywhere. Then a week or so later we went back to bring Piper home.
yeah, the kennel is always full with dogs cause at the kennel i got her from, its a plave that takes doggs in from other kennels that put them to sleep if noone wants them after an amount of time, shit fucked up. so i really dig the epeople for doing that and saving animals. sometimes i just stop by there and take a dogg out just for a walk or to play when i'm bored cause its fun and they get excited to get out of the cage, but i really commend the volunteers and Dr.'s for doing the right thing and taking animals out of euthanising kennels.
thats so cool! good thing you went in person, someone might have gotten her before you. i was worried about that with lucy when i got her. she was on some medicine and couldnt be realesed right away so i called constantly to make sure we could still take her and noone else got her, finally they got sick of me calling and told me i could take her and giver her the medicine at home myself i was happy! but thats cool! rescuaing animals rulez!!! your cat reminds me of my moms cat except she is all grey, no white, but besides that they look exactly the same. once i get a house imma get a cat. i've been wanting one for a while now, but right now the dog is enough. but next year when i get a house, i'd love to get one, cats rule!!! Piper is an awesome name btw :-D
I saw a video on YouTube of two people that work at a euthanizing kennel, and it's nice to know that they're at least not heartless, they both broke down crying about the job that they have to do, they said it's terrible every single time and they never get used to it.
