Well it's been critically acclaimed for its writing and acting.
You're looking at the show through a narrow point of view and comparing it to the game.
The game was basically broken down to 9 different short stories where each one had a mission to teach you something about that character.
They spent the whole season building up these people in small pieces. It's going to make part 2 of the game so dramatic on the show. It was really brilliant story telling.
I actually think they my not touch part 2 in season two. I could see them making a lot of the time next season spent with ellie and Joel at the compound.
Finally started Mad Men. Been meaning to watch this for a while since I always saw the Breaking Bad comparisons. 2 completely different shows obviously, but I always seen it compared in terms of quality, and how it’s overall about the lead completely unraveling by the end.
About done wit the first season and not sure how I feel about it. It’s an extremely slow burn and so far technically nothing has really happened lmao, but something about it is still keeping my attention and pulling me back in.
For those who have seen it, don’t spoil it, but around what season does shit finally start popping off?
I'm obsessed with Sentai. Its so fucking good. I'm almost done with Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger (basically series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is based off of), and its great. I'm also almost halfway through Avataro Sentai Donbrothers (the second most recent series), and it's so wacky in the best way possible. The red ranger is straight up autistic, I love it. I cant believe that being a Power Rangers fan my whole life I never checked out Sentai, but its great

Stuff doesn't really pop off, it's a historical fiction drama that does deep dives on american culture and consumerism. You can't really compare it to an action oriented show like Breaking Bad.
One of my favorite shows though. I'm actually rewatching it right now for the first time since like 2014. The end of S2E1 is probably my favorite episode ending ever other than the finale of True Detective S1.
What are you watching it on? The AMC app? This shit is the worst app ive ever used
Yea AMC+ but as an extension of my Prime Video so it plays from Prime and not the AMC+ app itself. It’s slow to resume if you fast forward or rewind, but otherwise it’s ran pretty well on there.
Yea they run it like Apple TV now where you can use it as a hub for all of em basically. But in my case, only reason I did it thru there was cause I already got a free 7 day trial thru the AMC+ app itself, so I got another free 7 day by doing it thru Prime lmao. Still gotta pay for at least 1 month but that extra week might prevent a second. 🤣 Cause definitely not keeping the subscription going once I finish Mad Men.

Fucking masterpiece. The beginning showing ellies birth and how Marlene had to kill her mom.
Fuck that made me feel deeply for ellie and all the trauma she has experienced since the literal day she was born.
Fuck *bow emoji*
