Just did the queen's gambit and it was really good, better than the book for the most part except for audience pandering towards the end
Fear The Walking Dead is a spin-off but at this point it’s better than the main show. Seasons 4 and 5 were complete dogshit, but 1, 2, 3, and 6 were good, so still mostly good. Meanwhile the main Walking Dead is jus exhausting to watch at this point. Too much watching people walk thru forests, too many long drawn out pointless conversations of people staring at each other and taking long awkward silences in between every single sentence, too many filler characters to give a fuck about and too much time spent on them. It should have ended a long time ago. I’m glad it’s finally on it’s last season. I’ll watch it thru to the end cause I’ve watched since day one but Goddamn it is NOT a sad feeling that it’s ending lmao.
I was i to both until about season 7 or whatever. Whenever the stuff with maggie at the hilltop stuff started.
The comic is great, but the show I couldn’t do anymore. It originally was cool to see the differences in story telling, but the show just went too far.
I did stop the comic though too which was a mistake
What’s funny to me is that they’ve made it very clear that both TWD and FTWD are in the exact same universe, to the point that 2 big characters from TWD have crossed over and became main characters in FTWD instead, and events from TWD have been referenced on FTWD.
So at the end of FTWD season 6, they literally get nuked. There’s a nutcase cult leader that believes the new world can only start once he kills everybody except his cult. So he launches a nuke from an abandoned submarine that has 20 warheads and the finale shows some of them landing. Not only did it not seem to cause as much damage as it should have even in FTWD itself, and it only causes one on-screen death, but I get the feeling that it’s not gonna be mentioned in main TWD at all, even tho the nuclear fallout would fuck up the entire US, even tho both shows are set in different states/regions. 😐
Almost finished watching the new season of Solar Opposites. Idk if any of yall are fans of Rick & Morty, but Solar Opposites is Justin Roiland’s other show. They’re damn near the same show, down to the animation style and voices lmao. But Solar Opposites is better and funnier at a lot of points. The main difference is, where you’ll have dead serious, even depressing episodes of Rick & Morty without much humor, Solar Opposites is basically all jokes and skips the nihilistic shit from Rick & Morty. Same type of humor tho, but a 100% focus on it instead. I definitely recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet. Short watch too.
Finished new season of Rick & Morty. Overall great but I think I can safely say that I like Solar Opposites more at this point. It's jus way funnier whereas Rick & Morty can be dead serious at a lot of points. Newest season of Solar Opposites was prolly the funniest shit I seen all year and had multiple points where I was laughing outta control. I think that comes down to Dan Harmon's involvement. He doesn't work on Solar Opposites, only Justin Roiland does, so it’s Rick And Morty style humor, but on crack and firing at all times, never slowing down to ever get too serious. Justin’s VR game “Trover Saves The Universe” had the exact same type of humor.
Another bonus of Solar Opposites is that each episode is connected and they’re watched as a whole, whereas Rick And Morty episodes are self contained like Family Guy and The Simpsons. You can watch any given episode from any season in any order. Solar Opposites you can’t do that cause you’ll end up lost, especially wit the “The Wall” backstory goin on.

Loved the comic though, though I am YEARS behind on that.

Good twist at the end aye? Do you think the cop died? He got shot and fell off the cliff but we never saw his body?
its like the best awful show ive seen lol.
Thats the perfect description I think. It's so fucking stupid but also interesting
