There's been an extraordinary amount of bad/disappointing albums this year. Most of the others need to get in line behind Morbid Angel and Queensryche tho.

yeah same here. American Soldier, although sub-par also, at least had some decent parts in it, whereas the new one is just sad, depressing, and unlistenable.

I have zero shame in saying I dislike Revocation and do not see their hype. #coolstorybro
I understand. I like them but don't think they're god's gift to music.
My friend used to live in Boston and knows them really well. Went to school with them, has jammed with them, etc. He makes them out to be the front runners of the metal world going forward.

The best thing to ever happen to Morbid Angel, was the release of the New Queensryche.
