14:23 3d period: Penguins 2-1 Marc Savard laid out by a Matt Cooke elbow. Stretcher coming onto the ice for Savard. Ugly hit by Cooke, who threw the hit after Savard had gotten rid of the puck. Savard never saw Cooke coming. Savard gives a wave as he's wheeled off. No penalty on Cooke.
Cooke is the new ulfie. Hope someone cheapshots his ass and lays him out
"that wasn't a cheap shot, he barley hit the dude and it doesn't look like he tried to hit him with the elbow to the head"
Rex, I'm sorry, but you're wrong. Savard just shot the puck, he is a defenseless player and has no opportunity to protect himself. That is not Savard's fault. Cooke had plenty of time to pull up and avoid the hit, but did not. Keep in mind, also, that this is not the first time Matt Cooke has done this kind of bs. I don't think there was an intent to injure, but it was not a necessary hit or "finishing his check," like he claimed. This is the stuff the NHL needs to get rid of, it's ridiculous.
well i just watched the youtube video again...and he didnt really "finish" the check as it more or less looked like he just ran into him...but he did have time to get out of the way...but it wasn't dirty and didn't have bad intent....but fuck it hes a penn so i hope someone hurts him
