what he did was uncalled for, nyi are bad enough as is and dont need people trying to take them out of the game haha
I know he deserved the suspension, you got to love a guy who sticks up for himself against a player who's three feet taller though, but when I looked at the replay, i knew he was gonna get suspended, especially cause he was suspended for the same thing last year. Sometimes these little or skill guys have to stick up for themselves, let people know not to fuck with them, but he deserved the 3 games. I'm just pissed cause that line with Briere, Leino, Hartnell was catching fire, but they won last night, that makes 4 in a row, theyre on a role! Go Flyers!
Yo Jay what happened with Ville Leino in Detroit? This dude is awesome and for less then a million, seems like he came from nowhere. I never even heard of him untill we picked him up and he was scratched for a month last year, then someone got hurt and he came in and fucked shit up for the Flyers, now he's on our 1st line. Why'd they let him go, did he just suck in Detroit or something?
Yeah, he just wasn't performing and ended up in Mike Babcock's doghouse. I think they knew he had talent, but he definitely wasn't showing it. There were times that he was really dogging it. Trading him to Philly gave him a chance to start over, and he's done well. Good for him, I just wish he could have played this hard when we had him.
it seems like players do this alot in the nhl. they suck with one team and are great on another, avery is a good example with the ny, dallas thing. when we 1st got leino, he was immediately in the doghouse, only got like 2 starts in a month and a half, then carter went down and he got a chance to play and has been shining ever since. i just know detroit has a great sense of determining a players talent. i just wasnt sure if he was a dick teamate or something cause he seems to be the perfect fit, the only problem is after this year we have to sign leino, giroux, and carter and their salaries combined now are about 6 mil. giroux is gonna get a huge deal, he's been playing like a superstar and if leino keeps it up, he';; get paid to. this might be the last year for carter.
yea man it seems like he's on the trade block every year. if theyre in good position to make a run come trade deadline, i think they'll keep him and try to win it all, but i'd rather sign giroux and leino, then just carter. someone will give carter alot of money, the flyers just cant affor that with the D they have.
