3 points behind them. B's and Rangers are both 1 game behind the pussies, but both the B's and Rangers have 2 more games to play. B's and Rangers are tied for the best in the NHL
Yous got lucky... Jagr, Briere, JVR, and fuckkin Pronger are all out with injuries and yous beat us in a shootout. I'm happy with my point today. Fuck the Rangers, they'll choke.
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama honored the NHL's Boston Bruins for their 2011 Stanley Cup championship, but one key member of the team was absent.
Goaltender Tim Thomas, one of only two Americans from the 2011 Stanley Cup team, decided not to join his teammates.
Obama hosted the six-time champions at a White House ceremony Monday afternoon, when he also lauded the team for its charitable work.
"Everybody has their own opinions and political beliefs and he chose not to join us," Bruins team president Cam Neely said of Thomas. "We certainly would have liked to have him come and join us, but that's his choice. Obviously it's not a choice that most of the guys, all the guys came except for Tim. That's his decision and his choice
Now we can head to the nation’s capital, where Tim Thomas isn’t present where and Alex Ovechkin, who was suspended three games for a hit in Sunday’s game against the Penguins, has decided not to attend the All-Star Game, mostly so he can stick it to the league. Quoticals via our old friend Steve Whyno, who now writes for the Washington Times (miss you, Steve):
"My heart is not there. I suspended, so why I have to go there?" Ovechkin said. "I love the game; it's great event. I'd love to be there, but I'm suspended. I don't want to be a target. I feel I'm not deserving to be there right now. If I suspended, I have to be suspended. That's why I give up my roster [spot]."
In other words: I show them. League want to suspended Ovi? Ovi no attend gigantic league marketing event.
Of course, this reminds us of the time Max Talbot called Ovi a douche.
The dichotomy between a player like Scott Hartnell and Ovechkin is striking. Harts was snubbed from the initial roster, but had this to say upon learning that he will fill the shoes of Jonathan Toews: "It was right before bed time and my heart was racing. I was kind of nervous. It was from Shanahan and I thought I might have a disciplinary hearing... but it was good news."
if you could take 1 player from each team who would you choose? Anaheim Ducks - Getzlaf Calgary Flames - Bouwmeester Colorado Avalanche - Duchene Edmonton Oilers - Nugent-Hopkins Los Angeles Kings - Doughty Phoenix Coyotes - Yandle San Jose Sharks - Couture Vancouver Canucks - Kesler Chicago Blackhawks - Toews Columbus Blue Jackets - Nash Dallas Stars - Benn Detroit Red Wings - Datysuk but would consider Howard Minnesota Wild - Clutterbuck Nashville Predators - Weber St. Louis Blues - Oshie Winnipeg Jets - Kane Boston Bruins - Krejci Buffalo Sabres - Myers Florida Panthers - Markstrom Montreal Canadiens - Price Ottawa Senators - Karlson Tampa Bay Lightning - Stamkos Toronto Maple Leafs - Kessel Carolina Hurricanes - Skinner New Jersey Devils - Parise New York Islanders - Tavares New York Rangers - Lundqvist Philadelphia Flyers - Giroux Pittsburgh Penguins - a healthy Crosby or Letang Washington Capitals - Ovie

I don't agree with all of these but they're all solid choices.
I just think there are a lot of options with Anaheim, Vancouver, Pittsburgh, and Washington. I don't know that I would take Ovechkin the way he's playing right now, Getzlaf could easily be replaced with Perry or Ryan, one of the Sedin twins would probably beat out Kesler for me, and while Letang is good I think Malkin is far and away their MVP this season (not considering Crosby right now).
