True North Sports and Entertainment, owners of the NHL's new Winnipeg franchise, set a goal of selling 13,000 season tickets before June 21. They reached that goal within 17 minutes of opening sales to the general public, according to the Winnipeg Sun.
The still unnamed Winnipeg franchise had been aiming to secure the sales before the NHL's board of governors meeting where the team's move from Atlanta is expected to be completed. The speed at which the tickets were sold even impressed commissioner Gary Bettman.
"While I had no doubt the 'Drive to 13,000' would reach its destination," Bettman said in a statement, "the remarkable speed at which it got there certifies the fans' hunger for NHL hockey and their commitment to True North's initiatives."

If they don't name them the Jets I will <_> them.
But Bettmann said if they want it, the name is theirs for free.
FYI NHL owns the name and copyright to the Jets

I agree that Burrows should have been suspended, but Horton also should have been suspended, but since he wasn't the Bruins are now in the Finals.
Just saying that you shouldn't be complaining about it because it goes the same way.
