I see this as one of those fights where anything can happen. Chael beat his ass pillar to post for 23 minutes last time, and he is so deep in Andersons head right now with all the shit talking he has done, I'm not sure how that's gonna play out. Anderson doesn't even want to win now, he wants to punnish him. Dana had to get between them at the weigh ins..
Chael can't use four times the acceptable TRT limits a second time around though. He won't be able to get Anderson down. And last time Anderson was this mad, he embarrassed the shit out of Maia. He's gonna run right through Sonnen, and he's gonna make it look eaaaaaasy.

Nuclear piss or not, he didn't exactly struggle to get the take downs last time. Andersons biggest weakness has always been wrestlers, and I think his age is catching up to him as well. Sonnen is on a whole different level than Maia is. All Maia said was something like "I respect him as a fighter, but not as a man" Chael on the other hand.... what hasn't he said ?
Sonnen has to make no adjusts from the last fight other than to avoid the sub, Anderson has to find a way to make this a totally different fight. If his rib was injured last time, then this should look more like a typical Silva fight, but with Silva more pissed off and emotional than he has ever been. If there was no injury and it looks the same as the previous 5 rounds, then Anderson might get more and more emotional as the fight goes on.
I get the feeling that Silva is going to come into the fight was some outstanding takedown defense. He wants to embarrass Sonnen, and that's all Sonnen has in his arsenal. With Sonnen getting repeatedly shut down on his takedowns, it's gonna turn into a repeat of the Maia fight, where Silva taunts him repeatedly. But Silva is going to actually hit him, and make his face look worse than GSP did to Fitch. Then the doctor finally steps in and takes pity on Sonnen :P
I don't know if Anderson can get his tdd up to par in time, Chael has been wrestling at a high level since he was a kid, its hard to stop a lifetime of technique with a few years training, even for Anderson. It will be no GSP/Fitch though, unlike Georges, Silva actually has KO power lol. If anything, I expect a Silva victory to look more like a much more viscious Leben or Griffin fight (Im ok with this too) Toying with a guy who only has bjj as a threat is a lot different than toying with a guy who has already proved he can smash you for at least 23 minutes. Even on his feet Chael caught Silva a few times, which makes me think Anderson's age is starting to catch up to him.
Pretty much. I've already said it can go either way, but for me rooting for Silva (or GSP) is like going to a casino and beting that the house wins, they are supposed too, no fun! Sat we find out if Silva still lives in the matrix or not.
Wonder if that was one of the moves formerly thought illegal. Chael is sooooooo in Anderson's head for this fight.... the question is if its a good thing or not.
